About the opportunity

The Chief Financial Officer owns the financial direction of the organisation: planning, controls, reporting, treasury, and the commercial analysis that informs executive decisions.

Key responsibilities

• Own financial strategy, forecasting, and long-range planning
• Lead the finance function, including reporting, control, treasury, and tax
• Ensure the integrity of statutory and management reporting
• Present financial position and outlook to the board and audit committee
• Manage banking, audit, and external advisory relationships
• Oversee capital allocation, investment appraisal, and cash management
• Strengthen internal controls and financial governance

Qualifications and experience

• Recognised professional accounting qualification (for example CPA, ACA, ACCA, CIMA)
• Degree in accounting, finance, economics, or a related discipline
• Extensive senior finance leadership experience
• Experience of audit, statutory reporting, and board-level presentation

• Reporting is accurate, timely, and trusted by the board
• Forecasting reliably informs operational decisions
• Controls withstand external audit without material findings
• Cash and capital are managed against a clear plan
