About the opportunity

This is a Veyroni Search Partners recruitment opportunity for senior operational leaders. We maintain a register of directors of operations across sectors and make contact when a matching engagement is confirmed.

The Director of Operations converts strategy into reliable delivery: capacity, process, cost, quality, and the leadership of the managers who run each function.

Key responsibilities

• Direct daily operations across functions, sites, or service lines
• Set and monitor operational performance standards and KPIs
• Own the operating budget and cost performance
• Lead and develop operational managers and supervisors
• Drive process improvement and remove delivery bottlenecks
• Ensure health, safety, quality, and regulatory compliance
• Plan capacity and resourcing against demand forecasts

Qualifications and experience

• Degree in business, operations, engineering, or a related field
• Significant multi-team or multi-site operational leadership experience
• Track record of budget ownership and measurable performance improvement
• Formal process improvement training advantageous

What success looks like

• Operational KPIs are defined, reported, and trending correctly
• Cost performance sits within the agreed budget
• Managers operate with clear standards and accountability
• Recurring delivery bottlenecks are identified and resolved
